What We Do

Since the Brain Research Foundation Annual Seed Grant Program was founded in 1981, 582 seed grants totaling more than $10.2 million have been awarded. More recently, we have introduced the Scientific Innovations Award (SIA), which is designed to support creative, cutting edge research in well-established research laboratories, under the direction of established investigators. Today, we continue to fund the type of innovative research that promises to result in better treatments for neurological disorders and, ultimately, in potential cures.

As you can see from the research currently being conducted by our most recent grant recipients, we’re funding the kind of cutting-edge research initiatives that will play a critical role in advancing the field of neuroscience.
