Ann Cheeseman

Ann Cheeseman is a retired Partner from Ernst & Young (EY), where she spent more than 33 years advising financial services organizations. In her final years at EY, she led a 40+ person consulting practice advising domestic and global financial institutions on SEC and regulatory reporting, governance and controls, IPO readiness, and other complex financial matters.

At Brain Research Foundation, Ann serves on the Finance & Investment and Outreach & Development Committees. She is an emeritus board member of YWCA Chicago, where she served as Chair of the Audit Committee from 2014 to 2022.

Ann’s commitment to brain health is deeply personal. She recovered from meningitis at age six, and her mother’s passion for health and lifelong curiosity about medical science helped inspire Ann’s interest in the brain and body. Having seen neurological conditions affect friends and family, she believes deeply in the importance of research and scientific discovery.

Ann holds an M.S. in Financial Markets & Trading from Illinois Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Economics from Carleton College.
