distinguished business pioneer as co-founder of Microsoft and others. In its short history, the Allen Institute has made significant contributions to neuroscience with its
work to map the brain and central nervous system. Mr. Allen’s open approach to neuroscience, whereby the institute’s discoveries are readily accessible to researchers, has been a tremendous gift to neuroscience.
